Performance Company

Our outstanding competition team at the South Shore School of Dance has consistently placed in the Top 5, and received special awards such as Outstanding Transitions, Excellent Teamwork, Sensational Smile, and The Entertainer.  Several divisions of the team have been Platinum- First Place winners in Competition.   Many of our students have made it to the Platinum Competition for Dance Educator's of America at the National Level.  Several students have won prestigious scholarships to study tuition free at National Workshops and National Ballet Intensives. The dancers range in age from 6-17.  Mary Douglas, the director, and the staff from NYU, Columbia, Radio City, and SNL are so proud of their accomplishments.  Keep up the great work girls and boys!

Along side of competition, we aim to remind our students that community service is equally as important. Since we have been serving the Massapequa and Farmingdale communities for over 35 years, it is vitally important that we remain involved by performing several times a year at community events. Some of our most popular events are the Massapequa Tree Lighting, The Nutcracker at Daleview Nursing Home, and Farmingdale Health and Wellness Festival.

Our students use their community service performances as credit towards Honors Society in middle school, high school, and even college.
